OMSI is located on the east bank of the Willamette River and offers over 200 interactive exhibits for all ages. OMSI is made up of five unique halls and eight hands-on science labs. Within OMSI you will find a science playground for those visitors six and under, omnimax dome theater, a planetarium, the USS Blueback (U.S. Navy’s submarine), cafes, and the OMSI science store. OMSI is open September – Mid-June from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday. From Mid-June to August OMSI is open from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm daily. Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum

Evergreen is the home of the famous Spruce Goose and celebrates aviation and space history. The museums attractions include: 200 aircraft, spacecraft and exhibits, IMAX 3D theater, interactive children’s exhibits, aircraft tours, gift stores, and wine tasting. Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum have spaces that can be rented for events. The museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Visit the website for IMAX hours and cost.

World Forestry Center

World Forestry Center is a 20,000 square foot museum that educates and informs people about the world’s forest and trees and their importance to all life. The World Forestry Center has hand-on, interactive exhibits that are family friendly. Some exhibits include: the thrill of whitewater rafting with-out getting wet, virtual smokejumping, learn to operate a timberjack harvester, take a journey on the Trans-Siberian railway, and take a jeep ride through Kruger National Park just to name a few of the exciting exhibits. The World Forestry Center is open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission: $8 adults, $7 seniors (62+), $5 children (3-18), and children under 3 and members free. The Children’s Museum is not your typical museum but one where you can be a kid again. Playing and touching with exhibits is strongly encouraged. Let your imaginationg run wild with hands-on exhibits for children. There are many different exhibits you will find behind the doors of the Children’s Museum including: Baby’s Garden, Water Works, Dig Pit, Grasshopper Grocery, Clay studio, and much much more await you at the place where imagination lives. Hours: Open Daily 9-5 from March 1 – Labor Day, Open Tuesday – Sunday 9-5 from Sept – Feb 28 (Open Mondays on area public school closure days & holidays). Admission: Museum members and children under 1 are free, Age 1- 54 $8, Over 55 and military $7.

The Portland Art Museum is the 7th oldest museum in the United States. The Art Museum has a collection of more than 42,000 objects displayed among the 112,000 square foot galleries reflecting the history of art from ancient times to today.
